Opinion
Anton Felix Longo
"The 2016 Solaris, with 30 grams of residual sugar and aged in oak, offers rich complexity and a well-balanced sweetness. Its blend of ripe fruit and subtle oak is captivating now, and I'm eager to see how it evolves with age"
The 20 hectares of the biodynamically cultivated vineyards of Baron Longo are located in South Tyrol’s south, around the picturesque Castelletto in Egna. The vineyards range from 240 metres a.s.l. up to Montagna, in the Trudner Horn Nature Park, where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes thrive. The main varieties produced by the family winery are Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Cabernet. As a winemaker, Anton Baron Longo concentrates on wines that are distinguished by their elegance.
